Game Rules
Welcome to Warden Control. You are the warden of a penitentiary facility. Manage your buildings, take in prisoners and run your facility to generate credits.
Buildings
Each building improves an aspect of your prison. Upgrade them to unlock new buildings through your progression score.
Statistics
Several indicators reflect the state of your prison.
- Capacity โ maximum number of prisoners you can house.
- Security โ threshold above which danger can trigger riots.
- Production โ credits generated per cycle (every 5 seconds). Wellbeing acts as a production multiplier (ร0.5 to ร1.5).
- Average danger โ average prisoner dangerousness. The library reduces effective danger.
- Average wellbeing โ production multiplier (ร0.5 to ร1.5). Prisoner wellbeing progressively converges toward this target. The yard, canteen, infirmary, cook, doctor and gardener improve it. It has no effect on danger.
Events
Random events may occur each tick cycle.

Riot! Money lost: โ Riot โ if danger exceeds security, a riot may break out and you lose money.
Chance : 15% per tick -
Emergency state transfer! โ State transfer โ the state may send a group of prisoners without notice, even if your prison is full.
Chance : 3% per tick (3-6 Prisoners) -
Inspection passed! Bonus: โ A detention conditions check. If wellbeing is sufficient, you receive a bonus. Otherwise, a fine.
Chance : 5% per tick -
Prison break! Prisoners escaped: โ If danger exceeds security, prisoners may escape.
Chance : 3% per tick -
Anonymous donation! โ A benefactor makes an anonymous donation to your prison.
Chance : 8% per tick -
Medical emergency! Prisoner wellbeing dropped. โ A health crisis reduces all prisoners' wellbeing.
Chance : 4% per tick -
Rehabilitation success! โ The library helps reduce a prisoner's danger level.
Chance : 5% per tick -
Food poisoning! Prisoner wellbeing dropped. โ Contamination reduces all prisoners' wellbeing.
Chance : 4% per tick -
Celebrity prisoner transferred! High danger level. โ A high-profile inmate is transferred to your prison with a high danger level.
Chance : 2% per tick -
Excellence award! Bonus: โ If your score and wellbeing are high, you receive a reward.
Chance : 3% per tick
Progression
Your progression score is the sum of all your building levels. Reach certain thresholds to unlock new buildings.
Staff
You can hire staff linked to your buildings. Each employee provides an additional bonus on top of the building's bonus. Capacity and security bonuses are immediate. Wellbeing bonuses increase the target that prisoners progressively converge toward (+1 per cycle). Train your staff to increase their effectiveness.
Activities
In addition to regular management, several activities let you earn extra resources.

Cell Search โ Search your prisoners' cells to confiscate contraband. The more dangerous the prisoner, the better the loot, but the risk of incident increases.

Daily Missions โ Every day, new missions are offered. Complete objectives to earn credit rewards.

Customization
Customize your prison by choosing different furnishings (walls, floors, lighting, uniforms, recreation...). Each option can provide a small permanent bonus to security, wellbeing or production.
Achievements
Unlock achievements by reaching various milestones: building upgrades, prisoner intake, total earnings, events experienced and more. Check your progress in the Achievements tab.
Maximum Levels
Each building can reach level 20 and each staff member level 10.
Prestige
When all your buildings are at maximum level, you can activate prestige. This resets your prison but grants a permanent +10% production bonus per level. Note: costs increase by 25% per prestige level.
Each prestige level unlocks an honorary title:
- โญ Confirmed Warden โ from prestige 1
- ๐ Experienced Warden โ from prestige 2
- ๐ซ Distinguished Director โ from prestige 3
- ๐ Penitentiary Legend โ from prestige 5
- ๐ Absolute Master โ from prestige 10
Daily bonus
Log in every day to receive an increasing reward. Your login streak grows with each consecutive day and rewards follow a 7-day cycle.
Public profile
Every player has a public profile accessible from the leaderboard. It shows your stats, prestige title and progression.
Tips
- Balance security and expansion to avoid riots.
- Wellbeing directly multiplies your production (ร0.5 to ร1.5). Invest in comfort buildings.
- Release the most dangerous prisoners if danger becomes critical.
- The library reduces effective danger without releasing prisoners.
- Keep spare capacity to absorb state transfers.
- Wellbeing converges progressively toward its target. Upgrade buildings and customization to increase it.
- Prestige resets your prison but grants a permanent production bonus (+10%). However, costs also increase (+25%).
